Global law firm Greenberg Traurig established the Michael J. Bonner and Greenberg Traurig Business Law Award at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. The annual merit-based scholarship honors the Las Vegas office’s Co-Managing Shareholder Michael J. Bonner, a prominent figure in corporate finance, governance, securities, and gaming law. Beyond his legal practice guiding major mergers, public offerings, and Nevada regulatory matters, Mr. Bonner has championed UNLV by creating and co-chairing the annual Summit for Corporate Governance with the law school and serving as Chairman of the UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees. The scholarship creates an endowment to support J.D. candidates at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV who have demonstrated service in the field of corporate or business law.

"Michael Bonner's contributions to Nevada's legal and business communities align with his commitment to educating the next generation of legal leaders," said Leah Chan Grinvald, Dean & Richard J. Morgan Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. "We are grateful to Greenberg Traurig for establishing this award, which will provide financial support and encouragement as students prepare to enter the workforce.”

Greenberg Traurig’s Las Vegas office opened in 2005; delivers a full spectrum of legal services across gaming, hospitality, real estate, corporate transactions, and complex litigation; and is one of the fully integrated offices of Greenberg Traurig, a global business law firm with more than 3,200 attorneys across 51 locations in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia.
