Marisa Rodriguez is the Chief Deputy City Attorney for the City of North Las Vegas, where she provides legal counsel across a wide range of municipal matters, including litigation, employment law, transactional work, ordinance drafting, and business licensing. Born in rural Mexico and raised in North Las Vegas, Rodriguez's journey to public service is a testament to the power of opportunity and perseverance. Before joining the city, she was a litigator at Weinberg Wheeler Hudgins Gunn & Dial, where she handled complex cases involving commercial disputes, catastrophic injury, healthcare law, and product and premises liability.
Rodriguez is deeply committed to advancing the legal profession and giving back to the community. She is an adjunct professor at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law, where she mentors law students through the externship program. Her leadership roles include serving as President of the Board of Directors at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and as a former member of the State Bar of Nevada's Board of Governors. She also contributes to the Justice Michael L. Douglas Pre-Law Fellowship Program. Outside of her legal work, Rodriguez enjoys exploring Nevada’s natural beauty and is on a mission to run a marathon in all 50 U.S. states—having completed 31 so far.
