The Technology in Law Practice Association will:
- Help entering students achieve a minimum level of computer literacy with respect to Soft Test, using pleading templates on word processors, and knowing what software is available for managing research in LP, software for briefing and note taking, and the like.
- Expose students to the software that is used in law firms, including case management software.
- Expose students to the technology standards that lawyers are expected to maintain in practice, such as having independent calendar systems, regular backups, security, etc.
These goals will be accomplished through instructional on campus meetings. The Technology in Law Practice Association will strive to bring representatives from software companies to demonstrate their products to law students and faculty.
Boyd School of Law students can join here.
