		Entering Class Spotlight - Balancing Law School, Work, and Life Not a Problem for Olympic Gymnast 9/27/2012 The Boyd School of Law has drawn an exceptional pool of students this year, one of which has an Olympic background. First-year student and gymnast Tasha Schwikert competed in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. Today, she's studying law at Boyd.

		Entering Class Spotlight - From Rodeo Queen to Law Student: First-year Law Student Is About Education 9/20/2012 This year's incoming class at the Boyd School of Law has a wide variety of students from a wide variety of backgrounds. One in particular, Harmoney Leavitt, has saddled herself with a busy schedule, but said she feels ready to take the bull by the horns.

		"Streetball Hafla" Film Screening and Panel Discussion Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 • 7 p.m. • UNLV Student Union Theater The Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution at the Boyd School of Law presents a Peace in the Desert film screening and panel discussion of "Streetball Hafla," a film exploring how basketball can foster harmonious relationships between Jews and Arabs in Israel.

		Edwin Black Presents "The Case Against IBM for its Role in the Holocaust - What the New Documentation Shows" Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 • 4 p.m. • Thomas & Mack Moot Court The Boyd School of Law and the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas will host "The Case Against IBM for its Role in the Holocaust-What the New Documentation Shows," presented by The New York Times Best Selling author Edwin Black.



		In Memoriam: Robert "Bobby" Hager '10 Bobby Hager passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 18 in Reno at the age of 29. Bobby was a bright, dynamic and good-hearted young man who will be forever missed by his family and friends. He graduated from UNR with honors, and obtained his law degree from Boyd School of Law at UNLV. He was engaged in the private practice of law in Reno and became a partner in the law firm of Hager & Hearne the week before his death.

		In Memoriam: Mariana Meter '01 Mariana Meter entered this world Dec. 23, 1974 and embarked on her next journey Sept. 10, 2012, after a long battle against a rare cancer, which she consistently fought with unwavering determination, courage, and grace. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mariana graduated at the top of the class with a Juris Doctor degree from the Boyd School of Law.
