Law review membership is extended to those in the top of their class (at least the top 5%), and to those who are successful in the "Write-On Competition". The Write-On Competition is part of the application process to join the Law Journal, so all prospective members must participate in the Write-On Competition, including those students in the top 5%. The competition consists of writing a student note on one of two topics provided by the current law review leadership. The competition usually begins in June, and there is a two-week deadline. The Journal’s Editorial Board then reviews the submissions and extends membership offers to the authors of the better submissions.
More information will be presented by the Journal’s leadership in early April during a lunch forum on the subject.
