Reference Assistance
Reference assistance is available most days of the week. The Reference Desk is located across from the circulation desk in the main lobby of the library. Reference staff are usually at the desk during the following hours:
2008 FALL SEMESTER:
Monday - Thursday
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday
Noon to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday
Noon to 5:00 p.m.
Due to extenuating circumstances, we cannot guarantee that a reference librarian will always be available during the hours listed above. When the Reference Desk is not staffed, please ask at the Circulation Desk for information about who can help you and when they will next be available.
If you know that you will need reference assistance during your visit, feel free to phone ahead to make sure there will be a librarian on duty.
At the UNLV Law Library, our first commitment is to service. Our goal is to build a premiere academic law library that will meet the needs of the law school, as well as the bench, bar and public throughout the State of Nevada. Our first priority in building our collection is to insure that we have the materials needed to support the Law School curriculum. Our collection already represents the most extensive legal information resource in the state, and as it continues to grow, we will continuously improve our ability to serve a broader range of study and research needs for all our users. In the meantime, if we cannot provide a service ourselves, we will make every effort to direct you to someone who can.
