ITC Law Event One SheetThe Public/Private International Law Colloquium brings together more than thirty legal scholars to discuss issues in public/private international law. The invitation-only list of participants includes scholars of diverse experiences and perspectives from American University, Arizona State University, Brown University, California Western School of Law, Cornell University, Case Western Reserve University, Duke University, Georgetown University, Hofstra University, Indiana University-Bloomington, Pennsylvania State University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, Davis, the University of California Hastings College of the Law, the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, the University of the Pacific (McGeorge School of Law), the University of Toronto, the University of Tulsa, the University of Virginia, Washington and Lee University, Washington University (St. Louis) and the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV.

This discussion has implications for a broad range of legal subjects including, but not limited to, arbitration, business law and business courses of all types, conflicts of law, criminal law and procedure, critical race theory, critical legal studies, dispute resolution, environmental law, family law, human rights, human trafficking, intellectual property, law and economics, law and sociology, multiculturalism, national security, property rights, and tax law. Addressing these issues will indicate and help shape the directions in which international law and related scholarship are evolving.

A Symposium on "Law, War, and History"
February 16-17, 2007


ITC PDFScholars from England, Israel, Japan, and the United States, met at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law to deliver and discuss papers at a symposium on "Law, War, and History." The journal of the American Society for Legal History, the Law and History Review, is publishing a special issue (LHR 26:3) that includes revised conference papers on international law from ancient to modern times. This event was cosponsored by the Institute for Legal Research at the University of California, Berkeley.
