The Boyd School of Law welcomes four new permanent faculty members and a visiting professor for the 2008-09 academic year.
Jay Mootz
William S. Boyd Professor of Law
Francis “Jay” Mootz joins UNLV Law from Penn State Dickinson School of Law. Jay is a scholar and educator of amazing breadth who has published widely. He has written in doctrinal areas such as insurance, contacts and sales law, and has also undertaken an ambitious agenda of interdisciplinary scholarship that explores relationships between law and contemporary European philosophy. He will teach Sales, Payment Systems and a Jurisprudence Seminar. |

Ann Cammett
Associate Professor of Law
Ann Cammett, a former Skadden Fellow, arrives from Georgetown University Law Center where she served as a clinical teaching fellow in the Domestic Violence Clinic and is completing her LL.M. Professor Cammett, a visual artist, studies the intersection of race, family and criminal law, and has published articles on incarcerated parents and parents with children in foster care. She will teach Civil Procedure and a course in the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic. |

Anne Traum
Associate Professor of Law
Anne Traum comes to UNLV from the Office of the Federal Public Defender. An Assistant Federal Public Defender for six years, Professor Traum specialized in appeals and handled direct appeals from federal convictions and non-capital habeas appeals of state prisoners. She will teach Criminal Procedure and develop an appellate clinic at the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic.

Jeanne Price
Director of the Wiener-Rogers Law Library and Associate Professor of Law
Jeanne Price, the Associate Director for Patron Services, Instruction & Research at the Tarlton Law Library of the University of Texas Law School, joins UNLV Law as the Director of the Wiener-Rogers Law Library. A graduate of Yale University, Professor Price received her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, and her MLS from the University of Maryland.

Linda H. Edwards
Visiting Professor of Law, 2008-09
Linda Edwards will visit UNLV Law from Mercer University School of Law. At Mercer, she is the Macon Professor of Law and the Director and Coordinator of the Legal Writing Program. She teaches Property, Employment Discrimination and Interviewing and Counseling. She is the author of leading textbooks in legal writing and property. She will teach Property I and II and Briefs that Changed the World.
