April
13:
As both a prologue to the final two-credit
in-class paper presentation and an introduction to important methodological
tools for the economic analysis of law, we will discuss probability, sampling,
and a variety of experimental and statistical methods and their limitations.
We will wrap up in-class presentations by the two-credit paper writers and begin
the second round of in-class presentations for the
three-credit paper writers. (Unlike the mid-March presentations,
the goal of which was to discuss with your classmates your topic and use their
and my feedback to identify areas on which your topic needed work, these
second presentations should reflect a more refined paper.)

April 20: We will complete
the second round of in-class presentations for the
three-credit paper writers. As we discussed previously, this will
require a longer class meeting than usual. Reminder: Second drafts of three-credit papers are
due by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28th. (I will entertain, on a
case-by-case basis, requests to extend the deadline until Monday, May 3rd.)
