  Education:
B.A. cum laude, St. John’s University, 1987
M.A., University of Wisconsin, 1991
J.D. cum laude, University of Minnesota Law School, 2000
   
  After graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2000, Professor Mader served as a judicial clerk for Justices Alan Page and Joan Ericksen of the Minnesota Supreme Court and Judge Myron Bright of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Professor Mader taught legal writing at the University of Minnesota Law School, then moved to the University of Illinois College of Law, where he taught Constitutional History, Statutory Interpretation, and several courses in Legal Research and Writing. He teaches Lawyering Process and Professional Responsibility here at the William S. Boyd School of Law. Before attending law school, Professor Mader was a mathematics professor. He has a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics from St. John’s University in Minnesota and an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin.
