- Assignments.
- Reading and Discussing the Cases and Materials. For the most part, class discussion will
focus on discussion of the cases and materials in the casebook and in the supplement.
All class members are expected to participate. Your standing assignment: Keep at least
four full cases ahead of the last case finished in class.
- Attendance and Participation: Attendance and active participation is important. I reserve
the right to increase or decrease your final grade by one step (from a B to a B+, or from an
A- to a B+, for example) depending on your class participation. I may periodically check
attendance. Excessive absences may result in being dropped from the class.
- Form of Final: The final will be all essay. All exams will be closed book. You will be
provided with statutory materials to the extent necessary to answer any questions.
- Communication. To facilitate discussion outside of class time, I have created a web page for the
class and an archived email discussion group.
- Web Page. The address is:
http://www.law.unlv.edu/faculty/bam/k2001
This site will keep a copy of this syllabus, recent announcements, links to contract-related
spots on the Internet; and a link to the discussion group.
- Email List.
- I will continue to use the k2000 list to make class announcements. This will include rescheduling classes or
assignments. You should therefore get in the habit of checking your email regularly.
