The Boyd School of Law facility, comprising William S. Boyd Hall and the James E. Rogers Center for Administration and Justice, was dedicated in September 2002. Classrooms include power and data outlets for each student, as well as the technology necessary for presentations using presentation software, video, and document cameras. The largest classroom and trial courtroom are equipped to facilitate videoconferencing and distance learning. New library facilities provide additional space for the library’s growing collection of books and microforms, improved office space for library staff, a variety of study and conference rooms, numerous study carrels, and larger public areas for patrons. Students enjoy access to two computer labs in the library, with a total of 45 computer stations. All students have e-mail accounts and access to the Internet and World Wide Web in the computer labs and elsewhere on the UNLV campus. Connections to the Internet can be accessed from carrels in the law library. Dial-up access from off campus is also available. New lounge space and study areas offer students comfortable venues, including both indoor and outdoor seating areas, where they can make productive use of their time between classes.
