Congressional Externship (Law 750) 1-7 credits (Special application required) Explores the legislative process by placing students in legislative offices locally and in Washington, D.C.  Completion of all first year courses.

Judicial Externship (Law 751) 1-7 credits (Special application required) This course explores the role of the judiciary in the legal system by means of in-class discussions and the field placements in judicial chambers in federal and Nevada state courts.  Completion of all first year courses.

Legislative Externship (Law 752) 1-12 credits (Special application required) Explores the state legislative process by placing students in the Legislative Counsel Bureau in Carson City.  Pre-requisites:  Prior or concurrent enrollment in Law 643 Legislation and Statutory Interpretation or permission of instructor; completion of all first-year courses.

Government & Public Interest Externship (Law 773) 1-7 credits (Special application required) This externship is designed to provide experiential learning opportunities in a variety of public law agencies.  See listings under Clark County and Northern Nevada GPI placement links.  Supervised fieldwork is coupled with a weekly seminar. Pre- or co- requisites or co requisite:  Law 613 Professional Responsibility;  Forty-five (45) credits required for some placements: completion of all first year courses.
