WELCOME TO THE SOCIETY OF ADVOCATES WEBSITE
Society of Advocates Mission Statement The William S. Boyd School of Law Society of Advocates is an honorary, co-curricular organization that exists to foster in its members superior written and oral advocacy skills as well as counseling and dispute resolution skills. The Society seeks to enhance each member’s academic experience by providing inter-scholastic competition experience that calls on their advocacy, counseling, and reasoning skills for success. The Society will provide a constructive environment and all tools necessary to maximize each member’s potential. The Society also strives to provide a supportive social environment to enhance its members overall law school experience. The Society of Advocates encourages participation in advocacy and dispute resolution competitions among the William S. Boyd School of Law student body by hosting advocacy, counseling, and negotiation competitions for all students. The Society will further prepare students for competition by providing access to advocacy and dispute resolution training. The Society of Advocates endeavors to contribute substantially to the overall reputation of the William S. Boyd School of Law by maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and professional decorum.
